The city of Orlando in Florida commits to 100 percent Renewables

The Orlando City Commission unanimously approved a resolution to slowly transition to 100 percent clean and renewable energy by 2050.

With this commitment, Orlando just became the 40th city in the United States to make the pledge. Starting with municipal operations which will first be fully powered by renewables by 2030.

The Sierra Club states that Orlando is now the largest city in Florida to make that commitment.

Joining more than 40 other cities in the United States committed to clean energy.
