Boston to install solar-powered benches that charge devices and collect environmental data

So this is happening: A start-up company that originated from the halls of MIT Media Lab, is installing solar-powered benches in the city of Boston, Massachusetts. These “soofas”–as they are called, are going to provide more than a place to sit; they will charge gadgets, track noise levels, and watch the weather.
