Jay Leno, talk show host, and car enthusiast drove Tesla’s Cybertruck through The Boring Company’s tunnel with Elon Musk on the latest episode of the CNBC show “Jay Leno’s Garage.”
During the episode, Musk stood on the back of the truck’s retractable bed cover to show how sturdy it is. Musk said the production version of the Cybertruck would be 5% smaller, but it would look essentially the same. He also noted that there were a lot of other details that’ll have to be addressed before the Cybertruck hits production, including improving visibility.
Still, Musk is determined to make sure the vehicle looks as close as possible to what was shown off during the unveiling and that the truck is bulletproof. “When the apocalypse comes, you’ll be glad it’s bulletproof. We want to be the leader in apocalypse technology,” Musk told Leno.
