She served as Environment Commissioner of Ontario from 2015 until she was ousted by Ontario Premier Doug Ford, shortly after he was elected. Having her office abolished on April 1st, 2019.
As environment commissioner, her responsibilities included preparing nonpartisan reports and recommendations to the legislative assembly on Environmental issues—including how they relate to energy in the province.
