The Development Analyst will assist with solar project development for a rapidly growing C&I Solar energy firm. This individual will collaborate with the development team to source, qualify, underwrite, and complete solar projects. As part of this role, this individual is expected to work across multiple functions to promote the company’s rapid growth.
Responsibilities:
Support the origination, evaluation, and due diligence of solar and storage projects to reach NTP
Develop outreach lists of commercial real estate owners for greenfield project origination and outreach lists of 3rd party solar contractors and developers for project acquisition channel partners
Support external business development and marketing and internal development reporting
Regularly refine the company’s CRM database for project leads and deal sourcing
Manage project development pipeline and in-bound project documents from development partners and vendors while leveraging internal technology and processes
Assist in the negotiation of projects terms and the generation of project term sheets/proposals
Underwrite new solar projects using the Company’s project finance model
Collaborate on refining project development processes and tools for efficient project execution
Provide internal reports and presentations on KPIs and dashboards for business and project development
Support investment committee reporting and presentations on project development and operations
Qualifications:
Experienced professional with a minimum of two years in solar and storage system sales, development, analysis, or related discipline
Comfortable with CRM and related customer and/or project management tools
Familiar with solar-specific software such as Energy Toolbase, Helioscope Aurora, PVsyst, or similar
Strong problem solving and creative skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
