Is Tesla working on cobalt-free batteries for the China-made Model 3s?

Reuter’s broke the news that Tesla was switching to CATL’s prismatic LFP battery from their standard cylindrical NCA battery. Matt Ferrell of “Undecided with Matt Ferrell” details the differences between the battery formats, how they’re made, why they’re chosen, and what the change in battery chemistry means. Including the fact that the CATL batteries don’t use cobalt.
