BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager with more than $6.8 trillion under its control, has signed up to join Climate Action 100+.

Climate Action 100+ pressures fossil fuel producers and other companies responsible for two-thirds of annual global industrial emissions to show how they will reduce carbon dioxide pollution.

A spokesperson for BlackRock said joining Climate Action 100+ was a natural progression of the work their investment stewardship team has done to date.
