The industry has grown by 500 percent since 2015, said a government news release Monday.
Energy Efficiency Alberta has pegged rebate rates for homeowners at $0.90 per watt, marking a 15 percent increase, with a cap of $10,000. Non-profits will receive $1 per watt, totaling a 25 percent increase, and businesses maintain a rate of $0.75 per watt.
But the cap for non-profits and businesses will double to $1 million.
