British Columbia — Portable Electric has announced the expansion of its Vancouver facility in response to the increasing market demand.
The expansion aims to increase production capacity to 2,000+ units and brings the total facility size to 40,000 square feet.
The surge in demand for clean, off-grid power solutions across various industries has propelled Portable Electric’s growth.
With over 850 units already deployed in the field, the company has experienced a significant increase in demand for its Voltstack ecosystem, which comprises portable and mobile battery energy storage systems and e-Chargers.
Keith Marett, CEO of Portable Electric, expressed his excitement about the expansion, stating, “We’re expanding for the second time in two years, and this is yet another significant milestone for Portable Electric. We are thrilled to be able to increase our production capacity to meet the growing demand for our products. This expansion will not only allow us to better serve our customers and stakeholders but also provide more job opportunities.”
This expansion follows Portable Electric’s recent partnership announcement with Volvo Construction Equipment, a landmark collaboration within the industry.
The expanded facility will enable streamlined and efficient production of Portable Electric’s mobile energy storage systems and e-Chargers.
The fully operational expanded facility is expected to be operational by the third quarter of 2023. Additionally, Portable Electric is actively considering expanding its operations with new facilities in the United States and Europe, further establishing its global presence.
