ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. | ARRAY TECHNOLOGIES —
Array Technologies’s latest innovative single-axis tracking system, the DuraTrack™ HZ v3 has been announced.
The DuraTrack HZ v3 builds on ATI’s 25 year record of delivering low risk solar tracking solutions that provide highest project values.
ATI’s design philosophy focuses on innovations that minimize lifetime project costs, including installation, O&M, and risk-related financing and project bonding costs.
The DuraTrack HZ v3 offers innovative features found nowhere else in the industry – from a single-bolt per module mounting bracket that dramatically reduces module installation time, to improving system uptime and reliability with the industry’s lowest number of motors and controls per MW. The new v3 tracker incorporates a ground-breaking passive wind load mitigation system to reduce both cost and risk, remaining steadfast to the time-proven ATI design philosophy of no active wind stow requirement. The passive wind mitigation feature eliminates storm survival risks, complexities and maintenance issues associated with active stow components and UPS systems while providing significant cost benefits. The patent pending v3 design enables more modules per row, fewer columns, automatic row alignment, and snow or sand dune obstruction protection on an automatic and individual row basis.
“We minimized loads, wasted space, fasteners, number of motors, controls, columns, as well as maintenance cost and risk, while maximizing power production, reliability and investor returns. Version 3 is a robust 30-year asset that allows our customers to achieve the lowest LCOE possible,” explained ATI founder and CEO, Ron Corio. “We are gearing up our production capacity to meet 4 GW of annual demand, of which a significant percentage is already booked. We appreciate the market’s overwhelming acceptance of our new product.”
After nearly 2 years of development and testing, Array recently commissioned the first 1.2 MW DuraTrack HZ v3 site in northern New Mexico. High-volume shipments on the new version product will begin in July. The DuraTrack HZ v2.5, ATI’s current version system, will remain in production for select applications.
