California — In a recent development in the solar energy sector, the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) has endorsed a training program developed by Canadian Solar.

This program, designed to upskill solar panel installers, specifically focuses on the installation of the company’s EP Cube residential energy storage system.

Canadian Solar, a leading global provider of solar energy solutions, has been at the forefront of harnessing renewable energy and promoting its adoption.

Their latest initiative is part of this ongoing effort. With this newly accredited course, accessible via the NABCEP website, trainees are able to obtain two NABCEP credits and an EP Cube installation certification upon completion.

The EP Cube is an all-in-one residential energy storage system designed by Canadian Solar, that comes with an integrated hybrid inverter and batteries.

The design of the system was made keeping the installers in mind, ensuring a smooth installation process.

The lightweight and compact design, along with the no-wiring-needed approach for battery modules, are a few of the factors that simplify the installation process.

Furthermore, the system comes with an app to facilitate easy commissioning. The EP Cube’s design also offers installers flexibility in terms of installation location.

Andy Yin, General Manager of Eternalplanet, a consumer-focused independent brand of energy technology under Canadian Solar, spoke on the matter at Intersolar Europe in June. He emphasized the user-friendly design of the EP Cube, saying, “Its installation process is designed to be easy, quick, and safe.”

The NABCEP, known for its rigorous certification processes, is a respected and internationally recognized organization in the photovoltaic industry. Its certification is a testament to the mastery of a specific knowledge system, aimed at assuring the quality of products and services.

For solar installers, this endorsement by the NABCEP can boost their credibility and improve their skills, thus making it a valuable investment for their career progression.
