Canadian Tire has partnered with the Canadian government to build the largest EV charging network in Canada.

The plan involves the construction of 300 EV chargers at 90 Canadian Tire locations across the country. It will include 240 fast-chargers, capable of filling a depleted car battery in half-an-hour; and 55 Level 2 chargers, which require between two and 10 hours to charge most EVs.

The company also announced partnerships with Tesla, VW Canada’s Electrify Canada, and FLO.
