Natural Resources Canada will fund the installation of 20 level-two electric vehicle (EV) connectors throughout Guelph.
The Federal government is covering $220,000 of the grand $320,000 total project cost.
The funding is provided through the Fed’s Zero-Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program as part of a commitment to reach the target of zero-emission vehicles reaching 100 percent of passenger sales by 2040.
“Electric vehicles are part of Canada’s net-zero future. Our federal government is working with the City of Guelph to give Canadians greener options to get where they need to go,” said Seamus O’Regan, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources.
