About a year ago, U.S. solar industry Entrepreneur and Investor, Jigar Shah, joined the Department of Energy to head its infamous Loan Program office (LPO).

In his role, Shah oversees funding for technologies that are ready to scale the transition to a global clean energy economy. The LPO is notably responsible for the Title XVII program that invested in companies like Tesla, Ford, Nissan, and many solar energy companies and projects alike.
