Panasonic confirmed in its financial results that it will start selling solar cells individually over the course of the year.

The company says it will sell through sales channels they have used for conventional modules.

Panasonic Corporation, formerly known as Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd., is a Japanese multinational electronics corporation headquartered in Kadoma, Osaka, Japan.

The company confirmed that the termination of module production at its Shiga plant near Kyoto, Japan, will commence by the end of March 2018.
