Gigafactory
The Tesla Gigafactory is expected to be the largest building in the world and powered by renewable energy, with the goal of achieving net zero energy.

Tesla has been given the go-ahead from a German court to cut down trees for its new European factory.

The automaker had been ordered to stop work at the site of its proposed $4b Gigafactory based near Berlin due to environmental concerns.

The lawmakers had reportedly been taken aback by the level of protest against the construction and feared that such demonstrations could discourage other overseas companies from investing in the country.
