Berlin, Germany (April 13, 2017) – The organizer of the Group Exhibit Hydrogen + Fuel Cells + Batteries at HANNOVER MESSE continue their successful work in the United States. Five months in advance of the U.S. premiere of the trade show at SOLARPOWER International (SPI 2017) from September 10-13, 2017 at Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas more than 50 percent of the event’s floor space is already booked.
Several electrolyser, hydrogen compressor and fuel cell exhibitors have already registered. The event is also supported by major North American H2+FC associations such as the California Hydrogen Business Council and the Canadian Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association.
Steve Jones, Managing Director of Irvine, California- based ITM Power Inc. said, “We are excited to be part of the hydrogen and fuel cells exhibit at SPI 2017. The huge growth in the U.S. solar industry is driving change in the electricity grid and forcing operators to deploy energy storage in order to maintain grid reliability. Hydrogen energy storage allows the grid to store vast amounts of energy while simultaneously providing a pathway to create fuel for the growing number of hydrogen vehicles on the road in areas such as California.”
Bjørn Simonsen, VP Market Development & PR of Nel Hydrogen in Oslo, Norway said, “Hydrogen production from PV solar power makes a lot of sense. In fact, most of the large-scale hydrogen production concepts we are currently looking into are based on solar energy, many of them also off-grid.”
SPI 2017 expects to attract 700 exhibitors and 20,000 visitors from across the solar industry and adjacent industry sectors. The Energy Storage International (ESI), the largest energy storage event in North America with more than 115 exhibitors, also will be co-located with SPI 2017.
“There are so many synergies between the hydrogen & fuel cell, the solar and energy storage industry. The positive feedback from the industry proves that it was the right time to establish a yearly commercial H2+FC trade fair in the United States,” said Tobias Renz, organizer of H2+FC NORTH AMERICA.
Exhibitors and leading industry experts will feature a comprehensive forum program, including company presentations and discussions.
The topics of H2+FC NORTH AMERICA will include hydrogen generation, storage and transportation, fuel cell systems and applications, stationary-, automotive-, mobile fuel cells, special markets, components and supplying technology, fuel cell and battery testing.
