Australia breaks new record reaching 5.9 Giga watts installed solar rooftop PV

The country had approximately 5.4 Giga watts of cumulative installed rooftop PV power at the end of 2016.

Australia’s Clean Energy Regulator (CER) reports that the country has once again proven to be a fast adopter of solar rooftop photovoltaics (PV) by installing 1,718,722 systems.

This represents a cumulative 5.90 Giga watt (GW) PV capacity.

This data represents information up to the end of July 2017.

Since then, the country has added another 77,317 small-scale PV systems.
