Senate Energy Chairman Lisa Murkowksi (R-Alaska) and top Democrat Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) have introduced The American Energy Innovation Act.
Its a long-awaited energy package that compiles more than 50 bills that were considered by the Senate Energy Committee over the last year. It’s the best chance for passing clean energy legislation this year.
The legislation contains measures to support wind and solar power, energy efficiency, advanced batteries, and building facilities to capture carbon emissions at power plants and from the air for storage underground.
