Ever dreamt of driving to work in a solar-powered car? Well, dream no further. Sono Motors just unveiled the SION solar-powered electric car.

Sono Motors says it has surpassed a USD $55.6m target in a single crowdfunding campaign.

Sono says it’ll invest in production facilities for prototypes of the Sion.

The Munich-based company has attracted engineers from Nissan, Opel, and Honda to develop the Sion, a solar-powered electric car it says gets up to 30 km (18.6 miles) of electric charge a day.
