Tesla-Cybertruck
Tesla’s new Cybertruck pickup.

Tesla unveiled the controversial Cybertruck last year. Elon later tweeted that over 250,000 Cybertruck preorders were received within weeks.

Fast-forward to today, reservations now top 650,000 according to data released by Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives.

This high number is not surprising since it only costs $100, and not all reservations will convert to a sale. However, even if the conversion rate stands at 20%, we are talking about more than 130,000 Cybertrucks and $8 billion in sales.
