Within hours of being sworn in as President, Biden moved to reinstate the U.S to the Paris Agreement.

This was done among a flurry of executive orders the President promised to accomplish on his first day in office.

With this executive action, the world’s second-largest emitter of greenhouse gases rejoins the international effort to curb the dangerous heating of the planet.

The move came after an inauguration speech in which Biden said the nation needed to respond to a climate in crisis.
