CARLSBAD, Calif. | News Release — Pacifica has selected Cenergy to install its rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system at the Meridian at Lake San Marcos (Meridian), a northern San Diego based senior community.

The project is expected to significantly lower the annual utility expenses of the senior community currently accommodating approximately 250 apartment homes and a 22,000 sq. ft. clubhouse.

Managed Green, an energy management service provider, facilitated the bidding process which guided Pacifica through the installer selection process from start to finish. Managed Green’s expertise in evaluating and managing energy opportunities, allowed Pacifica to award the solar integrator best suited for the proposed solar opportunity.

In total, Cenergy will install a 262.3 kilowatt (kW) solar system for the luxury senior living community located in San Marcos. The project is expected to offset over 77% of the community’s current electricity costs and produce +388,000 kilowatt hours (kWh) of power annually. The environmental benefits of Pacifica’s new solar solution are equivalent to the annual electricity usage of 24 homes.

“This project supports our continued commitment to our local community and environment. We are excited to work with Cenergy Power to bring solar power to all our valued residents,” ~ Carl Knepler, Vice President of Operations, Sales and Marketing, Pacifica Companies.
