German solar inverter maker SMA Solar Technology AG, through its subsidiary SMA South America, is expanding its distribution network in Chile thanks to an agreement with local firm Cosmoplas, the first company said on Wednesday.

Cosmoplas will distribute all of SMA’s solutions and technologies for photovoltaic (PV) installations in the residential and commercial segments, including monophasic and three-phase inverters, off-grid installations and communication solutions.

SMA said the agreement consolidates an efficient distribution scheme in a growing PV market where the company is looking for experienced partners. Cosmoplas has offices from Antofagasta to Puerto Montt and a sales force covering the entire country.

SMA has been present in Chile since 2012.
