CALIFORNIA — Trina Storage Solutions U.S. has launched the Elementa 2 Pro Platform, a new utility-scale energy storage system for the North American market.
The platform will be available in two turnkey configurations: a 10 MWh (2-hour) system and a 20 MWh (4-hour) system. It integrates core components – including battery cells, power conversion systems (PCS), transformers, and energy management systems (EMS) – into a single containerized solution.
At the center of the system are 314Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells with liquid cooling, designed to extend operational lifetimes to more than 25 years.
The units are built to withstand a wide temperature range (–22 °C to 50 °C) and comply with UL 9540A, UL 1973, CE, and UN standards. Additional features include fire safety systems and IP55/IP67 protection.
The Elementa 2 Pro also incorporates “Trina Storage Trace,” a digital traceability system that serializes and tracks components from raw material to installation. The tool is intended to support supply-chain transparency and regulatory compliance.
The company will showcase the new platform at RE+ 2025 in Las Vegas from September 9–11 at booth V9071.
