Chilean energy solutions provider Schwager Energy SA completed the sale of 85% in a 20-MW photovoltaic (PV) project to Origis Devco CVBA, linked to Cyprus-based Origis Energy Ltd.

Origis Devco paid USD 850 (EUR 684.1) for 85% of Central Solar Desierto I SpA, the firm managing the Chaka PV project, and will provide the necessary investment of some USD 40 million.

Schwager retains 15% and it will be repaid for incurred costs and investments until now.

The project will be developed in Diego de Almagro, Atacama region, initially with 91,200 solar modules, while later the park could be expanded to 40 MW.

Schwager retains two other solar projects, Kunza and Diaguitas.
