OKARA CITY, Pakistan | MEECO GROUP —
The first phase of a sun2roof photovoltaic project that consisted in the installation of 70 kWp has now been installed and connected at the factory of Modern Cold Storage in Okara City, Pakistan.

In the framework of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), The meeco Group through its joint venture oursun Solar Power (Pvt) Ltd., and the factory of Modern Cold Storage were bound for the installation of a 100 kWp sun2roof system.

The 30 kWp remaining to complete the whole project are to be installed within end of 2015.

The meeco Group has been present and active in Pakistan since 2008 and has, since then, achieved many projects in the country together with its local subsidiary meeco Services Pakistan (Pvt) Ltd. and its joint venture, oursun Solar Power (Pvt) Ltd.

Modern Cold Storage commenced operations in the early 1980s, as a family business. Starting off with Rao Group of Companies, the parent entity in Modern Cold Storage, the business has now evolved from the initial distributio n to multi-modal forms of business. The core areas of business include Cold Storage, Refrigerated Logistics, Manufacturing of Ice Cubes, Custom Bonded Warehousing & Carrier. The Rao Group is headquartered in Lahore with Branch Offices located in cities of Okara and Dipalpur.
